YOU ARE HERE
Artist Reception: June 14th, 6-8 PM
On View: June 4th - October 1st, 2022
Please join us on June 14th at Park Towne Place for the artist reception of You Are Here. The opening reception will begin in the North Tower, and then move to the West Tower, and then to the South Tower. Each tower will offer an opportunity to hear short remarks from the included artist or curator, and a chance to mingle. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served. We look forward to seeing you at this next installment of art at Park Towne Place!
From studying the buildings we populate, to the bodies we inhabit, to how we navigate the world at large, You Are Here explores themes of mapping and placemaking. In this exhibition, a group of seven artists takes on various approaches to these themes to examine the places where we live, work, and play as a way to gain insight into our collective needs and aspirations. From the embodied to the environment to the galactic, the featured artists use their respective talents to delineate the places in which we exist in their different forms.
